Body found in ditch investigated as homicide, Eau Claire County Sheriff says

TOWNSHIP OF CLEAR CREEK, Wis. (WKBT) – The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a body found in a ditch as a homicide.

Thursday morning, a passerby notified law enforcement of a body located in a ditch on Mallard Road in Clear Creek. The victim was a 46-year-old man from the Eau Claire area. His identity has not yet been released.

Monday, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office announced the death would be investigated as a homicide. There is no reason to believe there is danger to the general public related to this incident, according to law enforcement.
