BALTIMORE (AP) — Andrew McCutchen hit a tiebreaking single within the seventh inning, Devin Williams pitched out of his personal jam within the eighth and the Milwaukee Brewers held on for a 5-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Cedric Mullins hit a grand slam for Baltimore.
After being shut out in two of their first 4 video games, the Brewers improved on the plate. But then Williams almost gave the sport away by permitting a single and two walks to load the bases with no person out within the eighth. The right-hander recovered, putting out Chris Owings, Jorge Mateo and pinch-hitter Ryan McKenna to finish the inning and hold Milwaukee forward by a run.
