Central WI Paralympian returns residence to celebration | Sports activities

(WAOW)– Matt Thums, a Paralympian and graduate of Prentice High School returned residence from the 2022 Winter Paralympics Tuesday night with loads of fanfare at Central Wisconsin Airport. 

Family and pals sporting purple, white, and blue welcomed him residence after he helped lead Team USA to a fifth place end. 

His mother and father Ken and Mary have been entrance and heart after all, they could not be happier to see their son and his years of laborious work repay. 

“When he got hurt he never looked back once, he just kept looking forward what he could do and he kept working at it,” Ken Thums stated. 

News 9 caught up with Matt as he was getting ready for the Paralympics.
