“Phil is the defending champion and currently eligible to be a PGA Life Member and we would have welcomed him to participate,” the PGA stated on Twitter. “We wish Phil and Amy the very best and look forward to his return to golf.”
PGA Life Members will need to have been energetic members of the PGA Tour for 15 years and will need to have gained at the very least 20 co-sponsored occasions, in response to PGA.
