For one weekend each autumn, the Waterpark Capital of the World is transformed into a craft beer paradise as Dells On Tap takes over at the Wisconsin Dells Festivals Site, 200 La Crosse St. in the Dells.
This year’s event kicks off Friday, Oct. 14 with the Dells Craft Beer Walk that allows you to sample craft brews as you explore the downtown Dells, and maybe consider pairing some rich stouts with some classic Dells fudge or using banana salt water taffy to boost that Belgian-style brew.
Then, on Saturday, Oct. 15, Dells on Tap takes over the festival site with more than 65 artisan brewers not only from across Wisconsin, but also beyond.
Plus, there will be brewery representatives and brewmasters on hand to talk about what they do.
General admission ($50 / $65 on the day-of) gets you in from 1 to 5 p.m. and includes a tasting mug. For ($75 / $90) you can get the VIP experience with entry at noon, a commemorative VIP tasting mug, pretzel necklace and light snacks until 1 p.m. VIP tickets limited to 500.
Tickets are on sale now online.
To add to the fun, there are a number of competitions on draft, too, at the event. Get together with you friends to sign up for pre-event cornhole, giant beer pong and mini golf tournaments that take place at 10:30 a.m.
The top three teams will get awards.
There will also be a Beards & Brews mustache competition at the event. Register on site at the festival.
