Journal Junction for Sept. 22, 2022 | Journal-news

From Kearneysville:

The invasion at our southern border continues. Thousands of illegals, including known terrorists, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, drug and human traffickers, from over 140 countries are pouring into the country daily. Meanwhile, the imbecile in the Oval Office and his lying, cackling, so-called border czar Kamala Harris say the border is secure. Outrageous. No doubt it’s just a matter of time before we see a catastrophic attack within our shores.

From Martinsburg:

Why in the world are they putting lights up along the Interstate 81, and even more of them, when we couldn’t afford to keep the ones we had there before? They won’t be able to burn them at night, because we will need the power grid to charge our Biden cars. Oh, I know they are doing this to hide the real reason for their construction. They will be future charging stations for interstate drivers with Democratic cars and trucks.

From Inwood:

Sen. Manchin’s “Inflation Reduction Act” is coming back to bite him. He often said he would not approve spending more federal money unless it was a bipartisan agreement. Now, funding for that very bill will require bipartisan support, and he absolutely needs the support of Republicans. Will he get it? I don’t think so. If the IRA is such a good bill, it should be able to be funded as a standalone bill, which is Sen. Capito’s viewpoint.

From Martinsburg:

Berkeley County: Reading Wednesday’s article in the paper in reference to “the school bond” issue resulting due to the increase in students in Berkeley County Schools. I really think the county builders should be paying for this. The county council (builders) approves all these new homes that cause the problem but never considers the impacts, such as roads, schools and fire and ambulance services. Remember, at election time, it is all about personal profit. They need to be accountable.

From Hedgesville:

We don’t need illegals flown into Hedgesville. They’re being bussed into W.Va. from Dulles. W.Va. is keeping that quiet. Instead of using taxpayer money for a new holiday that benefited no one, why didn’t they put that money toward the schools? Now, once again, school bond taxes will be going up. The only people paying are people already struggling to pay higher taxes on their homes. They know how much they need. Split it up.

From Martinsburg:

Hear ye, hear ye, this court is now in session. The plaintiff? The rights and liberties of John and Jane Q. Taxpayer. The charge? Illegal taxation, unscrupulous double-dealing and gross negligence of the public purse. The defendant? All governments across the land. Oglesby v Calhoun, 1913 — look it up. Income taxation is illegal. When will the Tammany Hall fat cats stop sucking our economy dry?

From Hedgesville:

Is cruelly bouncing the poorest, weakest and most desperate human beings among us around the nation to throw dirt in the faces of political adversaries a humane thing to do? Is it a Christian thing to do? Have people who do so and those who applaud them lost all sense of fundamental human decency?

From Martinsburg:

Out-of-control development in Berkeley County. Taxes escalating. Until Berkeley County does something about those moving here and not registering their vehicles, I will not vote for any bond and encourage others to do likewise. Ordinary seniors are suffering. Drained my savings to pay my increased taxes. Many conservative Christians homeschooling or sending to private schools. BOE chose to endorse sexually explicit books. My grandson will be taught in a Christian school. God will have his say.

From Martinsburg:

Many would say it is impossible to do so but the first two Journal Junction entries in last Sunday’s Journal were but a microcosm of the Democrat talking points that insult my intelligence. With the possible exception of Barack Obama, Joe Biden is the most divisive president of my lifetime and to imply he places country over party is patently ridiculous. To know what Democrats are up to, just look to what they are accusing Republicans of.

From Martinsburg:

The issue of a new school bond is on the upcoming ballot. Where are our local county assessor and sheriff? Several foreign corporations have moved to Berkeley County, yet years later, we still have out-of-state registrations on all their vehicles. These vehicles are here for a period of more than 30 days and remain here year after year. Why are our state tax officials allowing contractors to work for these corporations with no licenses needed?

From Martinsburg:

Panhandle Senior Networking seems to not understand that many of the local senior population do not have access to Facebook to get more information for their Sept. 28 resource event.

From Bunker Hill:

Outstanding thought Martinsburg, however, where are the gun criminals in Democrat-run cities since the Democrat-gun control policies really work?
