Good morning, and welcome to our live coverage of all the big tennis news and on court action, as we move ever closer to the start of the Australian Open.
There’s another huge day ahead, and as it has been for the pasdt week now, it’s heavily focused on Novak Djokovic.
Several journalists are reporting that Djokovic is set to have his visa cancelled today, and according to 4BC’s Neil Breen that could spark an unfathomable chain of events that could end with the world No.1 being kicked out of the country midway through the Australian Open.
Breen is reporting that if Djokovic has his visa cancelled his legal team would then file an injunction, which would open the door for the Serbian star to stay in Australia and enter the tournament with the legal process ongoing.
The case may then be heard before the conclusion of the Australian Open, creating a scenario where if the visa cancellation is upheld, Djokovic could be deported having started the tournament, but before he gets the chance to finish it.
