Objects IV Life Brand Reveal

Daniel Arsham’s portfolio has long been a hot topic in this space, and now the contemporary artist is looking to spread his wings a bit, giving fans more to look forward to. With the unveiling of his new clothing label, Objects IV Life, Arsham manages to deliver a design-centric take on timeless workwear-inspired garments. that’s much more conservative in its approach than his trademark degraded sculptures.

The brand takes inspiration from Arsham’s artistic philosophy, ultimately fusing this sense of meticulous craftsmanship with the rugged appeal of essential uniforms. Each piece from the first collection is made using responsibly-sourced materials like organic cotton, natural latex, and EcoVero viscose. As far as garments are concerned, notable ones include a pair of t-shirts, a chic blazer, and a wide variety of denim pieces. The t-shirts are composed of a blend of organic cotton and modal, making for an incredibly soft feel.

Moving on to the Workwear Blazer, it’s a sturdy piece of outerwear that takes after the traditional artisan’s shop coat. The garment-dyed jacket is crafted from a polyester/organic cotton blend and is rounded out with a bevy of pockets and removable buttons. Lastly, there are two different pairs of jeans (baggy or normal), as well as a stylish denim jacket, all of which are crafted from Japanese deadstock denim. In addition to these, the collection also features a pair of boots, hoodies, and a tote bag.

It’s always interesting to see how an artist’s work translates to other walks of life, and this new label goes to show that Arsham has a knack for making anything noteworthy. Objects IV Life’s first collection is now available on its online store, with prices ranging from $200 to $950.
