Oklahoma House passes near-total abortion ban

The Oklahoma House handed a near-total abortion ban on Tuesday – the one exception being to avoid wasting the lifetime of the mom – with overwhelming assist within the chamber. 

The invoice, which handed 70-14, now goes to Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt’s desk. He has stated he’ll assist any anti-abortion laws.

Republican state Rep. Jim Olsen, who sponsored the invoice, stated the penalties could be for the physician, not the lady.

It follows a pattern of Republican states passing restrictive abortion legal guidelines in the previous few years, a lot of which have been challenged within the courts over their constitutionality underneath Roe v.
