An anime adaptation of the Spy Classroom light novel series is now in production at Studio Feel, set to release worldwide in 2023.
2022 is still several months away from concluding, but anime fans are already looking ahead to the future and what series 2023 will have in store.
Thankfully, it has just been revealed that the popular Spy Classroom series will be making its highly-anticipated TV debut next year, with a new teaser trailer going viral online.
So, what is Spy Classroom about, who has been confirmed to be part of the production team and where can you read the original light novel series online?
What is Spy Classroom about?
Spy Classroom, also known as Spy Room, is an espionage adventure series that focuses on a spy called Klaus.
Klaus has a success rate of an incredible 100%, which is even more remarkable in the world of Spy Classroom, where powerful nations wage war on each other mainly through espionage and under-handed tactics.
However, Klaus is about to be tested to the fullest when his agency tasks him with a new secret mission, which they claim to be almost 90% impossible to complete. Thankfully, Klaus will not be alone on this mission and sets out to choose his own team.
Unfortunately, his new colleagues aren’t quite as experienced as Klaus – in fact, they have no practical experience of espionage in the field. Can this rag-tag group of misfits and spies complete the near-impossible task and save the world?
“Following a devastating military conflict, countries fight their wars in the shadows. One unusual spy, Klaus, has never failed on the job despite his quirks, and he is building a team to take on an Impossible Mission—one with over a 90 percent chance of failure. However, his chosen members are all washouts with no practical experience. They’ll have to use every trick in the book (and some that aren’t) to prove they’re up to the task!” – Spy Classroom synopsis, via Yen Press.
