Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: The Best Rosé Proseccos

Delicate, pale pink Rosé prosecco had much to celebrate in 2020 when it became an officially recognized category of Prosecco DOC. Now, several versions of the delightful Italian Rosé are becoming available stateside, just in time to celebrate a rose-tinted Valentine’s Day this year.

The pleasing pink hue of Prosecco DOC Rosé comes from the blending of Glera grapes, used to make prosecco, and Pinot Noir. The new designation has ensured quality by setting specific rules around production standards, including using at least 85% Glera and 10% Pinot Noir as well as aging for a minimum of 60 days. The result is a blush-pink wine with the vibrance of prosecco and an intriguing hint of red berry aromas to add a little sparkle to a romantic evening.

Here are 8 Rosé proseccos for a Valentine’s Day in the pink.
