MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership hosted its second-annual summer youth construction career fair at the Madison Labor Temple Tuesday.
The goal was to introduce more than 50 young adults to careers within the construction trades.
Arturo Mendoza was one of the attendees.
“They got a lot of opportunities here,” Mendoza said. “They got all sort from what I’m looking at, they got a bunch of trades from everything from electrician, plumber, sheet metal workers, et cetera.”
The event also served as a way to help address the labor shortage expected due to retirements and the shrinking workforce pool.
